HOCO Entertainment and Resorts located in Niagara Falls, ON is a leading edge tourism company which owns and operates many hotels, restaurants and other attractions in the area. HOCO recently constructed a new feature attraction: a 175′ diameter ferris wheel located in the center of Clifton Hill, complete with climate-controlled gondolas.
The company approached Trans-Quip Inc. to provide the construction team with a solution for the installation and maintenance of the gondolas for the ferris wheel. Trans-Quip determined that the PalletPal® PT-33-E mobile pallet truck would be appropriate for their requirements.
With a capacity of 3,300 lbs., the PT-33-E was chosen for the low height of 3 1/2″ so that the forks could be inserted under each gondola to lift it onto or down from the wheel. As well, the pallet truck can easily transport the gondola if required.
