Komline-Sanderson Limited, a manufacturer of process equipment for the water, waste water and power utility industries, constructed a custom Paddle Dryer processor to decompose sludge, bio solids and by-products produced by municipal waste water plants. To ease the entry of sludge into the Paddle Dryer, a solution was required to facilitate the elevation of one large hinged door, positioned at the crest of the processor.
Trans-Quip Inc. supplied two Joyce machine screw jacks (DWJ63U1S-15-STDX-WWOB-X), which were integrated into the design of the processor, to easily raise and lower one side of the processor door. As a result of the screw jack application, a larger entry into the Paddle Dryer processor was created for sludge, bio solid and by-product processing thereby increasing speed and productivity.
